Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Alan C. (A.C.) Nash, an attorney with Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, recently presented at the 9th Annual Fort Lauderdale Continuing Education Seminar on the topic of negligent security claims. The seminar was hosted by Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. Mr. Nash’s one hour presentation covered foreseeable crimes, the risks and what can be done to prevent issues.

 

The day-long seminar was attended by more than 330 people including risk managers, claims supervisors and property and casualty adjusters from insurance companies as well as independent adjusters. Rimkus has organized this event for the past nine years as a forum to inform and educate the insurance community on ways to investigate losses and determine cause and origin. Other topics covered included duration of water loss, investigation of suspicious fires, unmanned aircraft systems, premises liability, and technology for construction claims.

 

As a member of Marshall Dennehey’s Casualty Department, Mr. Nash focuses his practice on the defense of claims made and suits brought against insureds and businesses in product, automobile, commercial, liquor liability, construction and premises liability matters. He is admitted to practice in Florida and all federal courts in Florida including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

 

Mr. Nash is a frequent presenter and is actively involved in several industry associations including the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, DRI, the Broward County Bar Association, The Florida Bar’s Student Education/Admissions to The Bar Committee and the T.J. Reddick Bar Association’s Executive Board.
