Tampa, FL –Beatrice LeVine, CP/FRP, senior paralegal with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in Tampa was selected Paralegal of the Year by the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar.   The award was created to recognize one outstanding and deserving Florida paralegal for above-and-beyond efforts in achieving a high standard of professionalism in the delivery of paralegal services, and who has also contributed significantly to the community and to his or her law firm.

LeVine specializes in immigration law. She received her Certified Paralegal designation in 1988 and her Florida Registered Paralegal designation from The Florida Bar Association in 2008. She was recently awarded Lifetime Honorary Membership with the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and received NALA’s 2015 Affiliate Award for her work with the Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc. (PAF).

 

LeVine serves as First Vice President for PAF and oversees seminars statewide. She recently developed and implemented PAF’s Emeritus status for retired or disabled members. On a Chapter level, LeVine has been a longtime member of the Hillsborough Chapter of PAF and has served as Past President and on a variety of committees dedicating herself to the profession through mentoring and leadership.

 

LeVine is also committed to the community.   She has served on the Advisory Council for the Paralegal Studies Program at Keiser University since 2013 and dedicated numerous pro bono and volunteer hours with various organizations in the community including the Hillsborough County Bar Association projects, Epilepsy Services Foundation, James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital, and community churches.
