Six Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm Attorneys Selected to the 2017 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars List

Recognized attorneys represent both South Florida and Orlando offices.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (June XX, 2017) Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm P.A., a long-time distinguished law firm, announced that four attorneys, including partners James Haliczer, Eugene Pettis, Richard Schwamm, in addition to Debra Klauber, were named to the 2017 Florida Super Lawyers list. Additionally, partner Trisha Widowfield and associate Heather Weeter were named to the 2017 Florida Rising Stars list.

Only 5 percent of attorneys in Florida are selected to Super Lawyers, while 2.5 percent are selected to Rising Stars, which selects attorneys under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for 10 years or less. This widely sought after nomination solidifies the winner as a top name in their industry, while promoting the attorney’s practice to both the public and to other firms.

“To have six members of our firm recognized as Super Lawyers and Rising Stars is a huge moment for our firm,” said Pettis, who served as the president of the Florida Bar from 2013-2014. “Our team works every day to bring our clients high-quality service and results, and this illustrates the effort has not gone unnoticed.”

The selection process begins with peer nominations before a selection panel conducts research based on 12 categories, including: verdicts, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, certifications, position in the firm, professional activity, community service, scholarly lectures, education and employment background and other worthy achievements.

“These awards are uniquely respected because they rely heavily on others’ testimonials. Our team is humbled and we appreciate the nominations as much as the recognition,” said Haliczer.

“For me, being recognized means we are doing something spectacular in both South Florida and in Orlando,” added Schwamm, who heads the firm’s Orlando office.
