MIAMI – Jeremy Schwarz, Ph.D., an associate with the Miami office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP, has been selected to Leadership Florida Connect Class IX, a statewide leadership program for young professionals.

Leadership Florida Connect is a nine-month program designed to help professionals, ages 25-39, focus on key issues and opportunities that are specific to Florida, while combining leadership skills and development to become educated, engaged and inspired to make Florida a better place. Through five in-person sessions in various cities across the state, 46 professionals in this year’s exclusive class will form lifelong connections.

Schwarz focuses his practice on Corporate/M&A and works in the area of mergers and acquisitions, US and offshore securities offerings, cross-border transactions including buyouts, joint ventures, investments and financings, and complex structuring.

He received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University, his Master’s in Philosophy and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and his law degree from Harvard Law School. He also communicates in Spanish.
