Fisher Phillips Attorney Ilanit Fischler wins Latin Builders Association Award for Junior Director of the Year





Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The Latin Builders Association named Ilanit Fischler, attorney with Fisher Phillips, LLP,  Junior Director of the Year at its 37th Annual LBA Awards.  Established in 1971, The Latin Builders Association® (LBA) is the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States. Fischler, who joined the Board of Directors of the organization in 2015, received the honor at a ceremony held at the Hilton in downtown Miami.


“It’s a tremendous honor to have earned this recognition and I am happy to be part of such an impressive group of dedicated people that comprise the Latin Builders Association,” said Fischler.


The association, a nonprofit organization that encompasses a vast array of individuals and companies related to South Florida’s vibrant construction industry, embodies the interests of builders, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, lawyers, electricians, real estate agents, tradesmen and many more. The organization strives to provide a vital forum for discussion, networking, training/development and representation at local and state level.


Fischler has experience representing employers in a broad range of matters relating to the workplace, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and contract disputes before federal and state courts, and administrative agencies. Ilanit’s practice includes representing employers in matters involving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and compliance with Form I-9 requirements. Ilanit also counsels employers on preventative measures and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, and reduce the risk of litigation.


Fischler is admitted to practice law in Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.  She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2010 and her law degree from the George Washington University Law School in 2013.
