Fort Lauderdale – July 21, 2016 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Adele I. Stone has been named to the Board of Directors of the Innocence Project of Florida. The mission of the organization, which was founded in January 2003, is to find and free innocent prisoners in Florida, help them transition back into a changed society and work to reform the criminal justice system.
Stone, co-office head of the Ft. Lauderdale office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC, is Board Certified in Real Estate by The Florida Bar. Along with her real estate practice, Stone has a strong business law practice and is an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2008 and was named one of South Florida’s Top Female Attorneys of 2015 by the Daily Business Review.
In addition to her involvement with the Innocence Project of Florida, Stone works with numerous other civic and charitable organizations including Legal Aid Services of Broward County, where she served as President; Director of The Broward Workshop and President of the Florida Bar Foundation.
