Election follows previous term as Treasurer of Florida’s largest voluntary bar association

Miami, Fla. – Eric Hockman, a Partner with Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, P.L., was elected as Secretary of the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA).

He previously served as Treasurer for the DCBA after spending six years on its Board of Directors from 2012 to 2018. Hockman was officially installed during the DCBA’s June 15 gala.

Founded in the early 1900’s and officially incorporated in 1920, the DCBA is the largest voluntary bar association in Florida. Its goal is to support and inform Miami-Dade County’s legal profession, as well as the public and community at large.

“Being a part of the DCBA as their Treasurer for the last year has been a wonderful experience,” Hockman said. “It is an honor to continue my work with the DCBA in the role of Secretary. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish for our fellow members and the broader legal community in the coming years.”

Hockman, who graduated magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, is also Co-Chair of DCBA’s Government Relations Committee and Co-Chair of its Building Committee. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters involving business, government and individuals.
