VER PLOEG & LUMPKIN ATTORNEY MICHAL MEILER ELECTED TO BOARD OF FLORIDA JUSTICE ASSOCIATION

 

 

MIAMI, FL —Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin, an insurance coverage and bad faith litigation boutique, is pleased to announce that Michal Meiler was elected to the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association (FJA). The FJA is dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s citizens and consumers.

 

Meiler focuses her trial practice in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, representing both policyholders and injured claimants. She is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar; the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

 

She is an active member of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Spellman Hoeveler Inns of Court and the American Association for Justice, where she serves on the Membership Oversight Committee. She is also a Tribe board member and participated in the 2015-2016 class of Leadership Miami through the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

 

A former Assistant Miami-Dade County Public Defender, Meiler received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from George Washington University and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center.
