Laura Reich, a member at Miami-based Tenzer PLLC who heads the firm’s litigation group, moderated a panel for the International Litigation, Arbitration & Transactions (ILAT) Conference. The event took place on Friday, February 26, at the Conrad Miami Hotel in Brickell.

Reich moderated the panel called “Hot Topics in International Arbitration.” Discussion topics included the judicious use of mediation and other forms of conciliation in international arbitration proceedings, challenges related to settlement and the enforcement of arbitration awards, recent developments in investment arbitration, and more.

The panelists included ICCA Publications consultant Judith Freedberg, Hogan Lovells senior associate Hans H. Hertell, Fowler White Burnett shareholder Luis S. Konski, and White & Case associate Lauran San Roman Guijarro.

“It was an honor to moderate this wonderful panel,” said Reich. “I’ve been involved with the ILAT Conference for many years and this year’s event had some of the most informative and liveliest discussions of any prior edition.”

With a practice focusing on complex, commercial disputes and arbitration, Reich has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels, at both the trial and appellate court levels.

Reich holds a law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a bachelor’s degree, with the highest honors, in economics and English from the University of Florida. She was also the Galleys Editor for The Florida Law Review.

For the past few years, she has served on the steering committee for the ILAT Conference and chaired the conference in 2014. Additionally, Reich has been recognized among her peers by Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star” from 2012 through 2016.
