FORT LAUDERDALE—Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP announces that Christopher Horton has been elected partner. He practices out of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale offices.

Mr. Horton concentrates his practice in all areas of construction law. He represents construction, design, and engineering clients in state and federal courts, litigation, arbitration and mediation throughout the State of Florida. He also advises clients regarding public and private procurement, alternative project delivery, construction licensing and administrative matters. 

He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Jacksonville University where he was the starting quarterback for its football team for three years.
