Six Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann Attorneys Selected to 2018 Florida Super Lawyers and Risings Stars Lists

 

 

BOCA RATON, FL — Five attorneys from Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann have been selected to the 2018 Florida Super Lawyers List, including Brenda M. Abrams, Andrew B. Blasi, Joseph M. Landolfi, Jr., Michael D. Mopsick and Jeffrey P. Wasserman. Additionally, Daniel A. Kirschner was recognized on the 2018 Florida Rising Stars list.

 

Super Lawyers® is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained peer recognition and professional achievement.  The selection process for the Rising Stars accolade is the same as the one for Super Lawyers, but with one exception: The candidate must be 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

 

The annual selections are made using a multi-phased process, which includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Brenda M. Abrams, Of Counsel, has been included in Florida Super Lawyers every year since 2006. She has dedicated her career to the practice of family law. She is a fellow of the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys and has served in that organization on the Board of Managers and as chair of the Amicus Committee. She is past chair of the Family Law section of The Florida Bar, and has served as Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and Executive Council member.

 

Andrew B. Blasi, a founding shareholder of the firm, has more than thirty years of experience in South Florida. He focuses his practice on business transactions and contracts, commercial and residential real estate and finance, as well as real estate development, mortgage and asset-based lending, business workouts, dispute resolution and creditors’ rights.  In addition, he also handles litigation and arbitration of disputes in those areas.  He has been included in Florida Super Lawyers Magazine since 2014.

 

Joseph M. Landolfi, Jr., partner, focuses his practice on estate planning for high-net-worth individuals utilizing entities, trusts and advance directives. He has experience with drafting agreements and formation/organization documents for limited liability companies, limited partnerships, c corporations and subchapter s-corporations. He also counsels clients with respect to guardianship matters, and the structuring of trusts in connection with Medicaid planning and special needs planning. He was first selected to Florida Super Lawyers in 2016.

 

Michael D. Mopsick, Of Counsel, represents clients in trust, probate, and guardianship disputes, as well as in business and commercial litigation.  He is also a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Mopsick is a past president of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association and a past co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar’s Professionalism Committee. He has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers Magazine in 2007 and 2014 – 2018.

 

Jeffrey P. Wasserman, shareholder, leads the firm’s Family Law Practice Group and has launched an active Collaborative Law Practice, as well. He possesses more than four decades of experience in divorce litigation, including enforcement and modifications, drafting prenuptial and post nuptial agreements, handling International parental kidnapping cases, and handling paternity matters. Wasserman is also a Fellow in the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL). Wasserman has consistently been included in this prestigious listing since 2009.

Daniel A. He also counsels clients in connection with the applicability of state and federal laws to their overall business practices. He has been selected to Rising Stars since 2015.
