Shutts & Bowen Announces the Addition of Patrick J. Lannon to Miami Office

MIAMI, FL ­– Jan. 26, 2020 ­– Shutts & Bowen LLP announced today it has expanded its Private Client Services practice group with the addition of Patrick J. Lannon as a partner in its Miami office.

For more than 20 years, Lannon has represented high-net-worth clients in estate, asset protection and charitable planning as a board-certified specialist in wills, trusts and estates. His practice is focused on integrating family wealth transfer goals with sophisticated business succession, income and estate tax planning strategies.

“Patrick’s extensive experience in estate and asset planning complement our existing offerings and will help us provide another level of service for our clients,” said John Meagher, Managing Partner of the Shutts & Bowen Miami Office.

In his practice, Lannon also assists personal representatives, trustees and beneficiaries with estate and trust administration, advising both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested or potentially-contested trust and estate matters.

Lannon is heavily involved in the South Florida legal community as a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami and acting Vice-President of the Greater Miami Tax Institute. He also spent three years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law as a specialist in the Estate Planning Graduate Program.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Columbia University before receiving his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in both Florida and New York.
