Sevilla Futbol Club Enters The United States Soccer Market To Create A Minimum Of Six Soccer Academies In The United States

MIAMI — Sevilla Futbol Club S.A.D, one of Spain’s premier soccer franchises has entered into a licensing agreement with HF Management USA, LLC of Miami, Florida to bring Sevilla FC’s recognized soccer training and development program to the United States. Under Sevilla FC’s guidance, HF Management will establish the first soccer academy in Miami, with other academies to follow in California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Texas.

Sevilla’s premier soccer team is exporting its coach training and athletic development program to the United States, where professional soccer continues to grow exponentially, thereby allowing the Sevilla FC brand to continue its own global expansion. “We are very pleased to introduce our program to a country where soccer is increasingly important. The fact that Sevilla FC becomes a presence among US training academies, speaks volumes to the credibility and reliability offered by our development program,” says Sevilla FC President, José Castro.

Ramón Loarte, Sevilla FC’s Marketing Director views the creation of Sevilla FC soccer academies in the United States in the following manner: “After two years of work, this important project will allow us to continue our global expansion in a sustainable manner in such key areas as the training of tomorrow’s soccer players, as well as the implementation of our methodology in the United States — an increasingly relevant global soccer market. The Sevilla FC brand continues to take determined steps in projects that will allow us to continue growing in global brand recognition, status, and fan base.”

Alan Fertel and Marc Pugliese of the Florida law firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, P.L. and Hugo Echevarria of the Spanish law firm of Cortizo Abogados successfully assisted both HF Management and Sevilla FC in consummating the agreement. Alan Fertel and Marc Pugliese will be representing the venture’s interests in the United States while Hugo Echevarria will be representing the venture’s interests in Spain. This joint representation came about as a result of both law firms being members of the Law Firm Alliance, a global strategic alliance of mid-sized law firms established to provide legal clients greater access to high quality and cost-effective cross border legal services.
