Miami, Fla. – Rennert Vogel Mandler & Rodriguez, P.A., has named five new partners. Alexander J. Faria, Andrew M. Ives, Nathan D. Mandler, Julie M. Schwartz and Thomas S. Ward have all been promoted by the leadership of the Miami-based law firm.

Rodriguez, co-chair of the real estate department at the firm.

Alexander J. Faria’s practice primarily focuses on the representation of real estate developers in connection with the acquisition, financing and sale of real property, and matters involving title insurance, survey examinations and other issues relating to the sale and purchase and development of real estate. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law and has worked at the firm since graduating law school.

Andrew M. Ives has extensive experience dealing with the needs of developer and individual clients with their transactional real estate matters. His practice has evolved into assisting taxpayers with their ad valorem tax appeals in South Florida and around the state. Property types involved with such challenges include major office buildings, warehouses, apartment buildings, low income housing tax credit properties, full residential condominium buildings, hotel condominium buildings, hotels, retail shopping centers, vacant land, and hospitals, among others. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law.

Nathan D. Mandler represents real estate owners and developers in ad valorem tax matters and eminent domain proceedings. He is one of the founders of the firm’s condominium tax appeal department. He has been with RVMR since 2007 after receiving his juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.

Julie M. Schwartz concentrates her practice in all aspects of ad valorem property taxation, representing property owners before Value Adjustment Boards throughout Florida. She has particular expertise in the area of exemptions and other legal bases for reducing and challenging property taxes. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Florida College of Law.

Thomas S. Ward focuses on commercial litigation and appeals. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules committee and has handled over 40 appeals in federal and state appellate courts involving class actions, punitive damages, real property rights, and more. . He earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law.
