Marshall Dennehey Shareholder Alan C. Nash Appointed to the 17th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Alan C. (A.C.) Nash, a shareholder with the Fort Lauderdale office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was recently appointed to the 17th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel by Judge Jack Tuter, Chief Judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit.

Florida’s Professionalism Panels are charged with receiving, screening, and acting upon complaints of unprofessional conduct by attorneys practicing in their respective Circuit. While they are not a disciplinary body intended to address violations of the rules regulating The Florida Bar, they do play an integral role in improving professionalism in the legal community by providing an informal, educational process to address conduct inconsistent with the Standards of Professionalism and Civility.

A member of Marshall Dennehey’s Casualty Department since 2010, Mr. Nash focuses his practice on the defense of claims brought against insureds and businesses in product, automobile, commercial, liquor liability, construction and premises liability matters. He also represents municipalities and law enforcement agencies in issues concerning federal and state civil rights cases involving false arrest, malicious prosecution and excessive force.

Mr. Nash is a frequent presenter and lecturer, and is actively involved in several industry associations including the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, the Defense Research Institute and The Florida Bar’s Student Education/Admissions to The Bar Committee. Locally, he is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, T.J. Reddick Bar Association and Emerge Broward, and he is an Encourage Broward Mentor for Broward Community College. Mr. Nash is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell® and has also been recognized as a Rising Star by the Daily Business Review, named in Florida Trend Magazine’s Florida Legal Elite, and has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers Magazine. Additionally, he was a Fellow with the inaugural Florida Bar Leadership Academy, now known as the William Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy.

Mr. Nash obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from the Florida State University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida and all federal courts in Florida including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
