Marshall Dennehey Appoints Craig S. Hudson Assistant Director of its Firmwide Professional Liability Department

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Marshall Dennehey, a leading civil defense litigation law firm with more than 500 lawyers, has promoted Craig S. Hudson to the position of Assistant Director of the Professional Liability Department. In this capacity, he will work closely with department director Christopher E. Dougherty in managing 16 practice groups and approximately 150 lawyers throughout the firm’s 20 offices.

Mr. Hudson joined Marshall Dennehey’s Philadelphia office as an associate in 1993, rising through the ranks to shareholder, the firm’s hiring partner, and eventually to his most recent roles as member of the firm’s Board of Directors, Supervisor of the Professional Liability Practice Group in Florida, and Fort Lauderdale Office Managing Attorney. He also serves as the Regional Managing Attorney for all of the firm’s Florida offices–the firm’s fastest growing market–which, in addition to Fort Lauderdale, includes Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville. Mr. Hudson is the second attorney, along with Mr. Thompson, from the firm’s Florida offices to join Marshall Dennehey’s senior leadership.

Over his 27 years at Marshall Dennehey, Mr. Hudson has earned a reputation as a highly capable trial attorney, successfully resolving thousands of professional liability matters in state and federal courts in Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Much of his practice is concentrated in defending non-medical professionals, principally lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers, real estate professionals, property managers, debt collectors, insurance brokers and investment professionals.  Mr. Hudson also represents employers in a variety of employment discrimination claims. He will return to Philadelphia for this management role.
