K&L Gates Partner Christina M. Paul Appointed to Executive Board of The American Boat & Yacht Council

MIAMI – Christina M. Paul, a partner in the Miami office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP, has been appointed to the Executive Board of The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC). Paul began her term on the Executive Board January 7, 2019.  

The ABYC is the only rule making entity for building, designing, maintaining and repairing recreational boats in the country. The council also provides technical education, training, certification and professional development through the use of workshops, seminars and technician certification courses. 90 percent of boats on the water are built to the non-profit’s standards.

Paul focuses her practice on Litigation and Dispute Resolution with emphasis on Complex Commercial Litigation, Products Liability, and Maritime matters. Her clients include business entities in the recreational marine, hospitality, and transportation industries. Since 2013, she has served as the Vice Chairman of the Boating Industry Risk Management Council, and serves as the firm’s representative member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, a committee dedicated to promoting boating safety.

Paul earned her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law.
