Kelley Kronenberg Partner Jeffrey M. Wank Named Vice Chair of Legal Aid Programs in South Florida

 

Fort Lauderdale—Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse business law firm, announced that Partner Jeffrey M. Wank has been named Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA), Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) and Legal Aid Service of Collier County (LASCC)  for the 2018 term.

The Legal Aid Program’s purpose is to provide pro bono legal assistance to the disadvantaged, assist families in need and help improve the lives of lower income residents in the community. Those involved offer advice, representation and education regarding homelessness, child advocacy, immigration and more.

“These programs offer an important and invaluable service to individuals in need of legal assistance in our community. I’m honored to be a part of their efforts,” said Wank.

In his legal practice, Wank focuses on First Party Property Insurance Defense Litigation, including coverage and bad faith litigation.  He also handles the defense of a wide array of Third Party Insurance Defense claims, including personal injury, premises liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home liability claims. He also serves as coverage and bad faith counsel in these third party actions. Additionally, Wank has experience handling complex civil and commercial matters, employment discrimination, homeowner and condominium association claims, and construction defect cases.

Wank has received many accolades from the legal industry. He has been included in Florida Super Lawyers magazine’s Rising Stars list every year since 2015.

In addition to his involvement with the Legal Aid programs, Wank is on the Board of Directors for the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit, and is currently involved in mentor/mentee programs to help assist younger lawyers in the community. He previously served as Chair of the Jewish Federation of Broward County’s Horizons Leadership Program and is a Past President of the Broward County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Board of Directors.

Wank earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Florida State University and went on to earn his Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida.
