Haliczer Pettis & Schwamm Welcomes Gabriel Zachary Gonzalez

Fort Lauderdale – Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm P.A., a preeminent plaintiffs’ law firm, announced Gabriel “Zach” Gonzalez has joined the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office as an Associate Attorney.

Prior to joining the firm, Zach served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Orlando State Attorney’s office. While there, he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to first degree felonies. He has secured multiple convictions on highly litigated life felonies, and has successfully tried a variety of cases including those as severe as attempted murder. Zach also practiced at the Law Offices of Steinberg Law specializing in personal injury litigation.

The South Florida native earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, where he graduated with majors in both Political Science and International Studies. Zach then went to Gainesville for law school, where he obtained his law degree from the University Of Florida Levin College Of Law, Cum Laude. While in law school, Zach received two Book Awards in recognition of having received the highest marks in both his trial team and trial practice courses. He served as Senior Vice-President of the UF Law Trial Team, and repeatedly traveled to national trial competitions along with his team, winning multiple awards for excellence in advocacy. Upon graduation, Zach was one of two members of the Trial Team to be inducted into the Order of the Barristers Oral Advocacy Honors Society.

Zach is admitted to practice law in all Florida State Courts and is an active member of both the Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Justice Association.
