Associate at Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm makes roster of Rising Stars

Fort Lauderdale, FL (June 19, 2018) Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm P.A., a long-time boutique litigation firm, announced that four partners, James Haliczer, Eugene Pettis and Debra Potter Klauber of the Fort Lauderdale office and Richard Schwamm of the Orlando office, have been named to the 2018 Florida Super Lawyers list. Additionally, Heather Weeter, an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office, was named to the 2018 Rising Stars list.

Only five percent of attorneys in Florida are selected to Super Lawyers, while 2.5 percent are selected to Rising Stars, a designation for selected attorneys who are either under the age of 40 or who have been in practice for 10 years or less.

“This recognition reflects the hard work that our team puts forth for our clients every day,” said Pettis, who served as the president of the Florida Bar from 2013-2014. “We strive to deliver the best results, and are truly honored to be recognized by our peers.”

The selection process begins with peer nominations before a selection panel conducts research based on 12 categories, including: verdicts, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, certifications, position in the firm, professional activity, community service, scholarly lectures, education and employment background and other worthy achievements.

“To have our teams in Central and South Florida recognized, shows that we are doing our job to serve statewide,” said Haliczer.

“Every member at our firm, from partner to associate to administrative staff, works year-round to help support the needs of our clients,” added Schwamm, who heads the firm’s Orlando office. “Our firm is fortunate to have a talented team of legal professionals who are just as passionate about their work as they are about helping people.”
