WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—Kelley Kronenberg, a full-service law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of a complex commercial litigation practice in the firm’s West Palm Beach office. The team is led by Irwin R. Gilbert and includes James W. Mintz, Robert M. Weinberger and Sayed M. Zonaid.

Kelley Kronenberg’s growth strategy has been steady and methodical over the past five years. In March of this year, the firm expanded in the Miami market by opening a new office in Brickell and, in May, it added two additional groups including a Bankruptcy Practice Group in Tampa and a Family Law Group in Fort Lauderdale. The firm plans to continue this growth by expanding its services and legal footprint.

 

Attorney Bios:

Irwin R. Gilbert, Partner, oversees the firm’s West Palm Beach Complex Commercial Litigation Group. Mr. Gilbert has tried many high profile cases including unfair competition, antitrust, fraud, theft of trade secrets and trademark litigation. He has significant experience representing other attorneys in the defense of legal malpractice, sanctions, legal fee disputes and partnership dissolution.

Mr. Gilbert has represented Fortune 500 companies in multi-million dollar theft of trade secrets cases, first amendment cases, and the defense of class action cases.  He also currently serves as Chairman of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar’s Antitrust & Trade Regulation Subcommittee and also as Vice-Chair of the Florida Bar’s Business Litigation Committee.

He earned both his bachelor’s degree and his Juris Doctor degree from University of Buffalo. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, the District of Columbia and New York.

 

James W. Mintz, Attorney, has represented corporate clients in federal and state court on cases involving complex financial fraud and construction disputes. Mr. Mintz earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, he spent two years as a research assistant in the area of human rights law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

 

Robert M. Weinberger, Attorney, began his career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio and as a Legal Affairs Advisor to the Governor of the State of Ohio. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, business transactions, construction, real estate litigation, appellate matters, arbitration, and contract negotiation and drafting. Additionally, he is a U.S. Army Veteran, honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He earned his bachelor’s and law degrees from Ohio State University. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

 

Sayed M. Zonaid, Attorney, has represented commercial lenders and corporate clients in various complex federal cases, including a multi-million dollar fraud scheme case.  He also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Paul C. Huck of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He earned both his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida, and is fluent in Bengali. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
