Cozen O’Connor Business Litigation Attorney Simeon Brier Appointed to Board Chair of SOS Children’s Villages – Florida

Miami, Fla. – Cozen O’Connor announced that Miami and West Palm Beach attorney Simeon Brier was appointed Chair of SOS Children’s Villages – Florida’s board of directors.

SOS Children’s Villages – Florida is a foster care neighborhood in Coconut Creek that promises “healing, hope and home for every child.” They strive to keep siblings together while in foster care so a family connection can remain intact.

In this new role, Brier will be working with his fellow board members, SOS Children’s Villages – Florida’s Director, executives and staff in reaching the organization’s mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for the community’s foster children. They accomplish this through donations, fundraising events and community members who volunteer to mentor the children, help them study, learn a new skill or teach a class.

“I’m honored to chair this board of community leaders,” said Brier. “I’m confident that we will make great strides in helping foster children and ensuring they have a loving home with the resources they need to be successful.”

Brier was born and raised in Parkland, Fla. and remains a current resident of the community. With the unfortunate shooting in Parkland in 2018, he has made a larger commitment to be involved in the City’s effort to keep its residents safe.

Brier focuses his practice in the areas of complex business litigation and dispute resolution. His litigation practice has a practical emphasis on corporate disputes and employment matters at both the state and federal court levels. He also has experience in the areas of employment law, transactional corporate matters, corporate governance, real estate litigation, construction and construction defect litigation, municipal/public law, financial services litigation, intellectual property litigation and product liability matters.
