Attorney Ilanit Sisso Fischler Joins Fisher Phillips Fort Lauderdale Office

 

 

 

 

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The Fort Lauderdale office of Fisher Phillips, LLP announced that Ilanit Sisso Fischler has joined as an associate. Fisher Phillips is a nationwide law firm focused on labor, employment, civil rights, employee benefits and immigration matters.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Fischler was an associate with Kelley Kronenberg in Fort Lauderdale, where she represented employers in a broad range of matters applicable to the workplace.   She has experience in litigation brought by employees involving employment discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition, she has experience litigating wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and retaliation claims brought under the Florida Private Whistleblower Act and the Workers’ Compensation Act. In addition, she has also handled matters involving compliance and contested citations under the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Form I-9 requirements.

 

While in law school, she worked as a law clerk for an Administrative Judge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she analyzed claims of employment discrimination, conducted legal research and drafted memorandums. Additionally, she worked as a Student Attorney with the George Washington University Public Justice Advocacy Clinic on wage, hour, and unemployment compensation cases. She also served on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and was an active member of both the Hispanic Law Student Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of DC.

 

Fischler is admitted to practice law in Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.

 

She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2010 and her law degree from the George Washington University Law School.
